Reviews Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L26X1

This is a good TV for the price and the perfect size for a bedroom. It came packaged in an enormous box that protected it well in transit. This TV is fairly lightweight and was easy to assemble if you use needle nose pliers to insert the screw into the base. I love that this TV picks up digital and analog channels including some of the music-only channels. The picture is a little dark, but changing the setting to "Cinema" helps somewhat without changing all of the color options. Although it still looks dark during night scenes. The sound is very quiet, but adequate for a small room. It sounds a little hollow or tinny in quality no matter how loud it is turned up, but you get used to it. I like that you have the option to change the picture format, since not all shows are in 4:3 and not all movies are widescreen. However, even though the TV itself is wide format, you have to use the "Zoom" format for any widescreen programs to fill the entire screen unless you want the people to look short and fat. Unfortunately, the zoom format means the picture is blown up and therefore you lose a lot of quality. If you don't have much to spend on an LCD HD for a small room, this is a good TV. I feel like I got the features that I paid for and as a bonus, the TV looks much more expensive than it actually is.
