I bought this as the gold-box deal of the day primarily to use as a computer moniter and its ok... i think its a much better tv. The picture is beautiful!!! The problem with the use as a moniter is its lack of settings that are typically used with computers. I had to tweak it alot to get it to work as a computer moniter (I have it hooked up to an NVidia Geforce GTS 250). Its worth the money, but I think there are better moniters out there for the same money... note i said moniters. All tv's I've seen have the same problems as this one with the lack of settings in them. So, Its worth the money... beautiful picture and good sound. It is better than most tv's for input selection.. its great on that. I'll probably buy a better moniter later and put this in my bedroom... but that will be some time... as it's working well for now. The only other concern I have is its 8ms respond time... many games and video systems reccommend 5ms or less for peak performance... and i think that's the cause of some "flickering" on it.. i lose signal from the computer for a few seconds sometimes... which does not happen on the 26'' sanyo tv i was using for a moniter.. or any real computer moniter i've tried. All in all its a great tv, decent moniter, and well worth the money :)

Reviews Logitech Squeezebox Radio

The sound quality is great, better than most boomboxes with two speakers. The only complaints I have is that there should be a large snooze button on the top of the unit like that of an alarm clock. Unfortunately I cannot review the unit with a battery, but the device can only get better with that. I also own the squeezebox duet and have a secondary remote set up via ipod touch/IPeng (the purchased version not the free plugin). Everything is pulling from a QNAP TS-119 NAS running squeezeserver 7.4. Between all the components, the system has been up for 2 weeks with very few glitches and synchronizes beautifully. The only thing is that every once in a while either the remote or the radio will lose it's wireless connection, but a quick reboot and everything's back online. Originally I was planning on setting up audio throughout the whole house using a receiver/amplifier, speaker splitter, wall controls, in ceiling speakers, RF remote (for room on/off and volume), and the squeezebox duet but this has saved me the headaches and grand or more in cash to do so. A+ to logitech for this unit all in a moderatly priced package even with the eventual cost of the accessory pack added on.

Today's highest resolution video content is 1920 x 1080 for over 2,000,000 pixels. A standard 720p HD display has less than 1,000,000 display pixels, and must discard half of the original video content, resulting in decreased picture detail. On the other hand, a 1080p Full HD Display has over 2,000,000 display pixels, maintaining the full video resolution and clarity. A CineSpeed display has an LCD Response Time of 8ms or less to ensure that the display is also fast enough for high quality home theater.

DynaLight Dynamic Backlight
The Toshiba RV525 utilizes advanced histogram image processing to monitor the brightness level of each video frame and automatically adjusts the backlight intensity based on the image content. This precise signal analysis allows for 256 levels of backlight control and can create a Dynamic Contrast that is 7 to 10 times greater than the original panel contrast. The result is a powerful picture with deep blacks for increased detail and incredible depth.

Built-In ATSC/NTSC/QAM Digital Tuning
Built-In ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital tuning allows for tuning of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts, in addition to digital "cable-in-the-clear" broadcasts.

Gaming Mode
Gaming Mode enhances the gaming experience by reducing game controller delay. The Gaming Mode allows the video signal to bypass select picture circuitry to shorten the overall signal to screen time. This provides an approximate 33-millisecond response improvement for 60Hz models and 48-millisecond response improvement for 120Hz models, virtually eliminating controller delay.

High-Res PC Input (15-Pin D-Sub)

Color Temperature Control
Many Toshiba televisions provide three user-selectable Color Temperature settings that control the set's overall white balance. The "Warm" setting reduces the color temperature to an NTSC standard 6500 degrees Kelvin and delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room. "Medium" and "Cool" provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased. The viewer can adjust white balance to achieve the best television picture possible in any viewing environment, or they can simply adjust the picture to suit their personal tastes.

TheaterWide Modes
Sets with TheaterWide modes are ideal for displaying HDTV signals as well as "enhanced for widescreen television" DVDs. The "TheaterWide 1: Letterboxed" image is digitally expanded 33% horizontally and vertically, which is useful for reproducing Academy Standard (1.85:1) formatted media. The "TheaterWide 2: Letterboxed" image is expanded 33% horizontally and 42% vertically, great for viewing narrow letterboxed images originally filmed in Panavision or CinemaScope. Finally, the "TheaterWide 3: Letterboxed" image is expanded 33% horizontally and 24% vertically. This can be utilized when displaying letterboxed images that incorporate narrow bands at the top and bottom of the picture.

Quality Audio

I have had this tv and the Panisonic 32 inch 1080p tv in my cart for quite some time and after further evaluations today I have decided to purchase it. Reviews ASUS O!Play - TV HD Media Player (Black)

the asus O play was brilliantly packaged and setup was a breeze with the HDMI cable straight into my Sony 7.1 channel Receiver. I tried already 6 different super hight quality blu ray rips in mkv format each file about 10 Gigs each and the asus plays it "PERFECTLY" no stutter, no hesitation, no nothing. Maneuvering through the interface is a breeze and quite fast which surprised me very much. If you love MKVS this is the player to get, but also keep in mind I tried about 10 other DIVX files and other files and it played it flawlessly not 1 single hitch EVER "yet" (jinx!)

Only minor minor problem that maybe addressed in a later firmware (asus came with the latest firmware already installed 1.07) is that if you connect the asus to a sound receiver and attempt to play a file like the blu ray rips with 6.1 channel sound, the sound will not be outputted until you change the sound setting MANUALLY in the setting menu to HDMI RAW. I heard they are working on a firmware to automatically detect the sound and change it on the fly. Minor problem. Overall this is "IT" this is the player right out of the box that plays everything I throw at it flawlessly so far, no reencoding, or remuxing nothing. GET IT. Matter a fact, I brought 2 more. :)

This was very helpful on vacation. The case attached to the back of the seat, so my son would not drop the player or have it on his lap. I was afraid he would fall asleep and it would fall or the battery would get too hot to sit on his lap. Plus, this way he was looking at eye-level instead of straining his neck and looking down. It was also cheaper than other models like this, and it was simple to attach. Not a lot of room for extras, but we just put those in his travel bag.

Very good 26" LCD television and is just the right size in our guest bedroom..... I believe that Panasonic beats them all hands down.... we replaced our very old CRT TV with this new light weight LCD and it does not take up as much space as the old unit did........ in my own opinion, this Panasonic LCD has the best picture and sound over the other brands, and I did a lot of comparing before buying ..... I really like the timer feature too...... the set-up menu and features are very user friendly. The remote is not lit... has no internal light... but I don't think any of them have an internal light..... not a complaint, but the remote has more stuff on it than I will ever use.... I have owned my 42" Plasma Panasonic for over 2 years now and I am very satisfied with it too.... The plasma has a little bit of a better picture, colors are more vivid, than a LCD has but a plasma also cost more money too.... and a plasma weighs more and uses more power than a LCD TV... This TV only comes in glossy black, the frame and base, which looks very nice but shows every speck of dust. I even called Panasonic and complained about that.....for not offering an alternate color like silver or gray.... I think that most all of the other brands, under 42", also come in only glossy black this year..... oh well.... my wife doesn't mind the glossy black..... Last month I purchased the TC-L32X1 for our bedroom and we liked it so well that we bought the TC-L26X1 LCD in the 26' size for the guest bedroom...... this TV also comes with a dock for plugging in your ipod but I'm not into any of that stuff so I can't say how well it works.... sorry... I have also posted a picture of our new TV here and that's my soda pop can next to the TV so you can get an idea of the size, etc.... and the President just happen to be on the news when I snapped the picture
